hai, i'm jakeup.
i'm from st. augustine, been listening to dnb since ak was on moonshine and 618 forsyth was called paradome. I came across this site after listening to one of the dopest tracks i've evar heard...Clowny by Koan Sound. I was amazed after reading the label was LOCAl!! good job
I've noticed a progression (at least with my friends) those who were "hardcore" Junglists have taken to dubstep and bass genre spinoffs and the drum and bass "purists" are listening to new pendulum and nosia tunes, hehehe
for me, i think it was kromestar's "ghostship" that really solidified my dubstep "sweet tooth", since i havent really heard any new dnb i like, i mean its all starting to sound the same, even venetian snares who sound vaguely like ming and fx's "hell's kitchen"
don't get me wrong...i'm not bashing dnb by any means...i just haven't heard "that" tune in a while. you know "that" tune, first one for me was Cleveland Lounge "Drowning" (AK1200 remix), "that" tune is what made me the bass head i am today.
anyways, i'm rambling, nice to meet ya, keep up the dub work.

ez bro.. i got some fam in st augi... yeah there are 3 dubstep labels here in jax.. Abducted of course and Betamorph..owned by and another good friend of mine and i own a lil thing called Stupid Fly Records.. if u get a chance.. check it out www.stupidflyrecords.com ill be playing in gainesville on August 2nd if u wanna come check it out.. ill post details as soon as i get em anyways.. glad to meet you john

You know, if I lived in the UK, having a coupla heavy hitting, bass producing record labels, putting out the sounds I like to hear, right down the road, would be like...no big deal. right?
But, you guys are good tunes And close enough to rep
